Feeling stressed? Head to Porto for a much needed, weekend getaway. Here's our go-to guide for 24 hours in this enchanting city.

The busier we get, the greater the longing to escape and explore, right? Autumn is upon us, and nothing more special than exploring the windy streets of Porto. Check out our go-to guide for 24 hours well spent in this enchanting city.

Get ready as we're about to embark on a culturally & gastronomically intensive day in Porto. You will most certainly need an extra caffeine intake, so make your way to Zenith Brunch & Cocktails first thing in the morning, and treat yourself to their famous Benedict Eggs. Then, head to Manteigaria to grab a Pastel de Nata. You will realize why it is the most cherished pastry in the country.

Speaking of national treasures, head over to Church of St. Ildefonso to gush over the classic blue & white tiles that adorn its outside wall, and just over the hill, on the railway station you will stumble across over 20.000 azulejos decorating the São Bento railway station.

On the top of the hill, on Torre dos Clérigos, you will want to take a moment to savour the magnificent view of the city before you head to A Vida Portuguesa, the go-to store to gift your beloved ones back home with a traditional souvenir. All brands featured in store are handcrafted in Portugal and they come in the most adorable vintage packagings.

No trip to Porto would be complete without an art dive and our suggestion is Museu Serralves. The surrounding gardens are reason enough to visit it and if you're in town up until March 2020, you will also find acclaimed Portuguese artist Paula Rego most recent exhibition, ''The cry of Imagination''.

The Royal Cocktail Bar is sacred ground for cocktail connoisseurs and that is your pit stop before dinner. Either if you're comfortably seated on the leather sofas or chatting by the sumptuous marble counter, the friendly staff will surely recommend you a great classic or signature drink.

Undeniably one of the best restaurants in Porto, Euskalduna Studio offers Portuguese food with a contemporary twist. The tasting menu, consisting of 10 dishes, brings the best to the Portuguese lands and sea to the table.

Of course, you won't leave Porto without trying this word-renowned treasure made locally... If you cared to take a guess, yes, we are most certainly talking about Port wine. Portologia is the aficionados choice - no wonder is often referred as The House of Port Wine. Located in the the iconic Ribeira district, you will find a versatile selection, from big names to small-scale producers.
