Casa da Burra, our romantic cottage inside Quinta Velha in Sintra, refurbished just in time for Saint Valentines

The story of Saint Valentin was perhaps told one too many times to the point that we all know by heart but we, as self-confessed romantics, can't seem to get tired of it - true or not true, we simply adore the idea of a bishop sneaking to marry couples that were forbidden to express their love.

This year, we've been talking a great deal about self-care and we believe that no matter what your take on this day is, it should be a day to celebrate love, whether is friendship love, family love, and most importantly, self love.

We choose to celebrate this date by remodelling our Casa da Burra - a charming and cozy little cottage in our Quinta Velha property. Perfect for couples, we planned to have it done by Valentine's day as we hope many love stories are celebrated here.
